So, when you are using Tally Prime single-user license, you will be able to use Tally on a single system at a particular time and hence you cannot multi-task with more than one user.
Tally Prime Gold / Multi User License:
Download & Install Tally Prime application in Server & activate license. In the same way download and install Tally Prime application in client machines & map License and data from Sever Machine via LAN. There is no restriction on the number of users within LAN network. However, maximum 10 Users can access Tally Prime Application Virtually (outside the LAN) other than users, who will be using Tally within LAN.
Tally Prime Auditor Edition License:
This is nothing but Tally Prime Gold License, given only to Practising Chartered Accountant Professionals at much lower Price, compared to Tally Prime Gold License end customer price. The Chartered accountant shall provide some details such as Certificate Of Practice, Membership Number etc., The license will be issued after the validation of details provided by a Charted Accountant.

Keeping up with commitment to bring in changes that make customer’s life easier & serve the growing need to access Tally Prime anytime, anywhere, Tally Solutions made a change in their licensing policy to authorize and support the virtual usage of Tally Prime. This will be operated through a Tally Virtual User (TVU) pack. The change suggests that, if customer use Windows RDP, cloud services or similar technologies to access Tally Prime virtually, customer would need a TVU pack. There will be SAS based & Slab based pricing for TVU Licenses.

- Tally Prime Silver – 1 TVU License
- Tally Prime Gold – 10 TVU Licenses
- Tally Prime Server – 20 TVU Licenses
Tally Prime On AWS

It is a collaborative solution powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), providing a powerful option for businesses to access Tally Prime from anywhere & anytime. In simple words, with the help of this solution, Customers’ can remotely access Tally Prime installed on a virtual machine.

Tally on Cloud Other Private / Public or Shared Servers
In the Private Servers, all the required Software’s & other Applications will be ready to user i.e., Plug & Play. The Private Server is dedicated to each single customer, wherein they, can keep their Single / Multiple Companies and provide access to multiple users (up to 90 Users per server). Usually, the customer chooses this particular option of Private Cloud, when they have 50 Plus users, accessing their own company data and then it becomes cost effective for them to have dedicated Private Server.
In case of Public or Shared Servers, each server will have Multiple Customer’s data, wherein the users will vary from 1 to 25 users per customer. This Public or Shared Server option will be cost effective for the customers who have less number of users accessing the companies.
In both the cases, the data is secured and regular auto backup is also scheduled, which can be restored in case of some disaster. The data can be accessed 24 / 7, and there is no limit on the bandwidth or number of hours of usage. Customer’s will be provided folder option as well to Export / Maintain the files in MS Word, MS Excel, PDF format etc.,
